How CreatorMecca works, and answers to the questions we hear most.
Getting started
- Create a workspace. Sign in with your work email, name your brand and pick your workspace address.
- Invite a creator. Set the price, number of videos and dates. They get an email, sign on their phone and land in the creator app.
- Review drafts. Drafts show up in Review. Approve, or request a fix with a note.
- Connect TikTok (optional) in Settings → Integrations to see sales and ad spend per creator and to apply Spark codes to your ad account.
Contracts and payouts
A contract pays its full price once every video in it is approved. At that point it appears in Payouts → Ready to pay. Pay the creator the way you normally do (PayPal, Wise, bank transfer), then mark it paid; the creator is notified.
CreatorMecca never holds or sends money, and doesn’t take a cut of creator pay. You can export payouts as CSV for your records.
How profit is calculated
For each creator and month, using TikTok Shop and TikTok Ads data you connect:
- Net GMV = affiliate sales attributed to the creator’s videos, minus refunds and returns.
- Total cost = commission + Spark Ads spend + GMV Max spend matched to their posts + their contract cost for videos posted that month + product samples sent.
- Profit contribution = Net GMV − total cost, before your cost of goods.
Each creator then gets a suggested call (scale up, keep, renegotiate or drop) with the reason. The Profit page has a “How these numbers work” section with exact definitions. Profit, sales and ad spend are brand-only; creators never see them.
Common questions
Who is CreatorMecca for?
TikTok Shop brands that pay creators a monthly retainer for a set number of videos, usually 10 to 100+ creators at a time. If you manage that today in spreadsheets, DMs and a shared inbox, this replaces them.
Do you take a cut of what we pay creators?
No. You pay a flat monthly price based on how many creators are active. What you pay creators is between you and them.
Do you hold or send money to creators?
No. When every video in a contract is approved, the contract shows up in Ready to pay. You pay the creator the way you already do (PayPal, Wise, bank transfer), mark it paid, and we let the creator know. We never hold your funds.
What does “pay only when every video is approved” mean?
A contract is a price for a number of videos in a date range. The creator is paid the full price once all of them are approved, not per video and not upfront. Creators see exactly how many videos are left, so nobody has to chase.
Do creators need to download an app?
No. Creators open the link in their invite email, sign the contract on their phone and sign in with a one-time email code. The creator app runs in the browser and can be added to the home screen.
What do creators see about our sales?
Nothing. Creators see their own contracts, drafts, feedback, payouts and the product samples you send them. Your GMV, ad spend, ROI and profit are brand-only.
Which TikTok accounts can we connect?
TikTok Shop (affiliate orders, commission, refunds and returns) and TikTok Ads (Spark Ads and GMV Max spend). Both are optional: contracts, reviews, Spark codes and payouts work without them. Profit per creator needs TikTok Shop.
How long does setup take?
Creating a workspace takes a minute. Most of the work is inviting creators, which is one form per creator. Connect TikTok Shop and Ads from Settings whenever you are ready.
Plans and billing
See Pricing for plans. The workspace owner manages the plan, payment method, invoice details and invoices, and can cancel, in Settings → Billing. Admins can see it; only the owner can change it.
What counts as an active creator?
A creator with a live contract: one you’ve sent (waiting for their signature), signed, or running. Paused creators and creators whose contracts have finished don’t count, and they stay in your workspace with their full history, so you can work with them again any time.
What happens when a creator takes a break?
Pause them (they don’t count toward your plan) and pick up where you left off. Every contract, signed document and payment stays on file forever, with their rate history, so when they come back you can see what you paid last time and start a new contract with their last terms in one tap.
What happens if we go over our plan?
On Growth and Scale we never block invites. You can run up to 10% over your plan’s creator limit for one billing month at no extra charge.
If you are over again the next month, or more than 10% over at any month’s close, your plan moves up to the one that fits, prorated. If the plan that fits is Enterprise, we contact you instead of changing anything.
Starter has a firm limit of 15 creators: adding one more asks you to upgrade to Growth first, in one click. Creators you already work with are never blocked, and nothing moves up automatically.
Can we upgrade or downgrade later?
Anytime, from Settings → Billing. Your data, creators and contracts come with you: a plan change never deletes, hides or archives anything. Upgrades apply right away, and you pay only the prorated difference.
Downgrades take effect at your next renewal, once your active creators and teammates fit the smaller plan. We tell you exactly what’s over; nothing is removed for you.
How does the free trial work?
Every new workspace gets 14 days with everything included and no card required. Choose a plan in Settings → Billing before the trial ends to keep going.
Can we pay annually?
Yes. Annual billing is two months free: Starter is $1,990 a year, Growth is $4,490 a year and Scale is $8,990 a year. Enterprise is annual only.
Do you take a percentage of creator pay?
No. The price is the plan price. Platforms that take 5–20% of creator pay cost far more on a real creator program.
Can we cancel anytime?
Yes. Plans renew monthly (or yearly on annual billing) and you can cancel anytime from Settings → Billing. See the Terms for details.
